tba

As the initials suggest, the subject (or rather, content) of this blog is "to be announced" at a later date. Later in the year, I'm hoping to post rare historical (mostly pre-WWII) performances of classical repetoire ripped from my rather large collection of lps; however, I do not as of yet have the hardware or time to begin such an endeavor. When I do, I hope to offer such conductors as Furtwangler, Fricsay, and Mengelberg; such violinists as Busch, Kulenkampff, and Thibaud; such pianists and Thyssens-Valentin, Meyer, and Fischer; and such chamber groups as the Calvet Quartet, the Suske Quartet, and the Trio di Trieste.

In the meantime, I created this blog so I could post thank you's and comments to other bloggers. Although I collect classical lps myself, my musical tastes are actually quite broad and I've been keen to take advantage of the incredible libraries of electronic, cuban/bossa/samba, soul, funk and jazz music availalbe through sharity.

A warm thank you in advance to all who have generously shared their music. I look forward to contributing in the future.

Well, Dgram, I can't wait to hear your LPs one of these days. Even though I'm very much into funk and jazz, I certainly don't mind listening to classical music. In fact I own a few pre-WWII 78's with classical material. If you like, I can photograph the labels for you.

PS: I have another Rogier van Otterloo coming up in the future, so I'll make sure to leave a comment here when I'm going to post it!
